This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners of P&R Consultants Pty Ltd. It governs our operations in Australia and extends to our supply chains and partnerships in China, Indonesia, and other regions where we conduct business.
3. Commitment to Ethical Sourcing
3.1 Supply Chain in China
We work exclusively with a trusted buying agent in China, with whom we have maintained a strong partnership for over 15 years.
All purchases are routed through this established partner to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
We avoid engaging with trading companies or unknown entities, prioritizing transparency and ethical practices in our procurement processes.
3.2 Supply Chain in Indonesia
Our Indonesian partner operates a fully established design and engineering facility specializing in hotel products.
All production and quality control (QC) processes are conducted under strict criteria, ensuring alignment with the Modern Slavery Act.
Regular site visits, photographic documentation, and remote monitoring via Zoom and WhatsApp are conducted to ensure compliance and ethical operations.
4. Speak Up Policy
As a small organization, we emphasize the importance of open communication. Our Speak Up Policy encourages all employees to raise concerns related to modern slavery, forced labor, or any unethical practices without fear of retaliation.
Employees can report issues confidentially to their manager or a designated compliance officer.
All concerns will be investigated thoroughly, and corrective actions will be taken as necessary.
5. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
To identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery, we implement the following measures:
Conducting regular risk assessments of our supply chains and operations.
Collaborating with trusted partners who share our commitment to ethical practices.
Requiring suppliers and partners to adhere to our standards and provide evidence of compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
6. Monitoring and Compliance
Routine site visits to suppliers’ facilities to observe working conditions.
Comprehensive QC checks, including photographic evidence and virtual inspections.
Regular reviews of suppliers and partners to ensure adherence to this policy.
7. Training and Awareness
We provide training to employees and partners on the principles of the Modern Slavery Act, helping them identify and address risks related to modern slavery within their areas of responsibility.
8. Continuous Improvement
P&R Consultants Pty Ltd is committed to continuously improving our processes to combat modern slavery. We regularly review and update our policies and practices to address emerging risks and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
